This blog is about sharing moments and acts of kindness that have changed our lives.

When I was three years old, I witnessed my seventeen month old sister die. On the day of her funeral, I went into shock and collapsed on the floor in cardiac arrest.

Neither my mother or grandmother offered me any act of compassion or caring. As a result, I have had two open heat surgeries, three ablations and thirteen cardiac procedures. I have a mechanical heart valve that will be monitored for the rest of my life. I often wonder how my life would be different if someone had just merely picked me up, offered some words of comfort.

That didn't happen,.

As a result, I have spent my life wanting to offer that "one act" to others to make that difference.

I know it can change the entire course of a lifetime.

Please share your story here.

A moment when you received and act of grace. That "one act" that helped you feel hope and connection.
